Head 'em up, move 'em out, get 'er done?

We have accomplished a few things since the beginning of the new year. We successfully navigated Arianna through the airport on her way to Japan. Here she is going through security and off on her big adventure!

She and Tim are happy to be together and are finding life interesting in their new setting. We miss being able to call them, but luckily, we can email and iChat! In order to sync our time zones, Warren & I have to be on at 5:30 AM; Katharine & the boys at 8:30 AM; and Arianna at 10:30 PM the same day. There is a 17 hour difference between WA and Japan. Needless to say, the only people who are really awake are the Maguires.

Poor Timmy was tuckered out during our last chat and was contentedly snoozing on their hard-as-a-rock bed. Ari finds sleeping on it to be painful. She noted that it was obvious that a bunch of Americans had just come into town because all the egg cartons for beds and can openers were sold out at the Navy Exchange! She and Tim scored a can opener, but not the egg carton - to her great dismay!

We spent last weekend sorting, tossing, and recycling so that we could fit three, count 'em...3, vehicles in the garage!! Quite an accomplishment, not seen since Arianna went off to college.

We haven't yet sent out our New Year's letters, stored holiday decorations, or sent belated packages to family members - but, it's only 2 days until the next weekend! With so much to do, perhaps we'll feel pulled together on Sunday evening? Nah. We can dream.
