My shoulder is suffering from...

Biceps Tendonitis! I've never heard of it, but I hear it's not all that uncommon. The new medicine has decreased the pain. Icing it every 3-4 hours is helping, too. I expect to be back to normal within the week. I had to skip band tonight because I was afraid of exacerbating it (and am proud to be able to spell the word)!

We have a lot of things scheduled for this week, the first of which is the making of 2 quiches tomorrow morning for Classified Week at school! I'm using Paula Deen's Spinach and Bacon Quiche recipe and Marie Callender's frozen pie crusts. We'll see how the combination works out! I'll probably be making them while we talk to the kids in Dover and the kids in Japan. I cannot believe how far-flung my children are. What a crazy, Robinson Crusoe family! Pretty cool, eh?

What do ya do after all the adventures in September?

Absolute nothing of any interest to anyone but us...nap on the couch, eat junk food, read romance novels, and half-heartedly clean out the closet. It's paradise!

My Patriotic Eye!

I will spare you the photo of my right eye. Some of my students say it's scary, but, I call it 'My Patriotic Eye'! It is bright red, white, and blue. I was just sitting there at an assembly. I looked up at a co-worker and she said "Your eye is bright red!" I was surprised, as it doesn't hurt at all. My O.D. said it's a subconjunctival hemorrhage, which should resolve itself in 1 - 2 weeks without treatment. Hope it's OK by family picture day on June 28th!
