Happy Summer 2012!

In the spirit of keeping up with our daughters,
we are back with new installment of McHop Adventures!

Here are some highlights from the past few months:

Devon just finished her first year as the Assistant Director of Special Services
for Yelm Community Schools.
It's a great job and the year flew by in the twinkle of an eye.
Warren finished painting every interior surface of the Arlington house in April.
One thing I did not let Warren paint over was inside the master closet...
After 9 months of living on I-5 (it felt like) between Arlington and Olympia,
we rented out the northern domicile and bought a southern residence.

To our great surprise, we found our dream house
a mere .2 miles from the place we were renting.
We love it - instead of downsizing, we upsized!
In April, the Maguires came to visit from England.
They got to see our house before the deal was finalized.
While the Maguires were visiting in April,
G'Gr'Ma showed the big boys how to play the piano.
They did a wonderful job!
Later, during their visit, we went to the beach.
Pearson thought a nap with Mommy and Grandpa sounded just right...
...while Daddy, McColley and Brady built sand castles
and tried to fly kites with no wind.
We had family photos taken at Ballard Locks on a beautiful afternoon.
Pearson got baptized on April 15th at Key Peninsula Lutheran Church.
Warren wrote a most amazing song for the occasion,
which the choir and many family members sang/played.
The video upload didn't work, so you can't hear it here, but the song is beautiful.
Doesn't Pearson look delighted to be the center of attention, sitting on Great Grandma's knee?
He was adorable throughout the whole event.
It was also Daddy's and Uncle Sean's birthdays, so quite a busy day for the Maguire clan!
Warren runs his consulting business from and writes music in his new office.
He created a brewing station in the garage that is fantastic!
He also built the shelves (seen above his head), so we have nice storage, too.
On the 4th of July, we went out to Lakebay to watch fireworks with Mom.
Our friend, Randy, enjoyed them with us.
It was a chilly, but gorgeous evening.
It was a great show and lasted longer than 60 seconds.
Sorry about that, Arianna and Tim!
Have a nice July -
We'll be back in August!
