Wondering why there's no blog about our trip yet?

For some reason now lost to me, I took my camera's cable on our trip. Didn't need it. Don't remember packing it. That is beside the point. Anyway, we packed it in Warren's bag for the trip home. He checked the bag at Heathrow. The bag decided to stay in England. Hmmm. No cable to download pictures. We are now waiting for the bag to come home, as it was luckily found.

In the meantime, here is a holiday cake to brighten your day. HAPPY NEW YEAR or as the French say "bonne année".
The pictures will add interest to the blog, so will wait to share our crazy adventures when we are re-cabled. *Spoiler - We got to England after an unexpected 4-day vacation in Newark, NJ. Luckily, Newark is a short train ride from a very large city featuring lots of American landmarks. And we barely missed being stuck there by Snowmeggdon, flying out a short time before the storm hit.

Both Warren and I saw many posters for The King's Speech when walking around England. We were able to go see it in Everett last night. What a wonderful movie! It does have some swearing in it, but we both recommend it. Two thumbs up.

TTFN - be back soon!
