We Celebrated Our #32 in Style!

On the 22nd, we started our day with a sobering look at Ground Zero.
We took the ferry out to Ms. Liberty's island and walked around with a variety of people.
Next we went to Ellis Island, where the Boys practiced sticking their tongues out. "Why?" you ask. Don't really know - but, it was quite funny!
We got a feel for what it must have been like to be an immigrant coming through Ellis Island.
We have discovered the joys of iPod audio guides. It was especially nice because they have one geared for children, so they can stay interested all the way through the exhibits.
Here are some immigrants who are heading for England...Cute, huh?
We got something to eat and this was our delicious dessert, although I can't recall what it was.
The 23rd of December rolled around and it was time for Warren and me to celebrate 32 years of wedded bliss! We got really good at reading schedules and getting on / off the trains quickly.
12:23 on 12/23!! I had to scramble to get my camera out, once I realized what the sign said!!
At Rockefeller Center, we stood before the big Christmas tree. Being from the Pacific NW, it wasn't quite as spectacular as we'd expected, but then again, we didn't see it at night.
All the Boys on the streets of New York.
About 2 hours before the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall, we decided to see if we could score some tickets. Not only did we get tickets, we were FRONT AND CENTER. We were in the 17 row! Considering the hall holds 6000 people, that was quite a wonderful surprise! It was a fantastic show and seeing the Rockettes in their own environment was amazing.
There are 2 of these huge organs in the music hall and they have an impressive sound, especially when both are being played at the same time.
The Maguires went back to our hotel, while Warren and I stepped out for a romantic Italian dinner close to the the theater district. All in all, a most delightful accidental anniversary celebration.
I had a lot of mushrooms in my lamb dish - yummy!
Warren had a fish dish, which he found delectable.
More to come...
