The real reason WSU has a football field...duh!

We all know the football team has not figured out what goes on out on the field. But, the WSU Marching Band knows! Last weekend we traveled across the state to see our nephew David, a trumpet player, march. I don't think he's the guy on the Jumbotron, but I could not mind meld with the cameraman to get him/her to feature David for a few minutes...
The gorge was gorge-OUS! It's a looooooooong trip to Pullman, but when it's nice out - WOW!
We headed up to campus for our day of football adventures - still SO hopeful for a positive outcome...
Our deluxe accommodations rivaled the Mark Hopkins. Don't you agree?

Butch stopped by the band concert at the Art Museum, so Warren snapped this Coug Family portrait.
Here's the other Butch, who obviously approves!
That night, we went to a movie and as we looked up the hill past the theater, there was the play structure that Arianna and her Leadership class had bought and installed at an apartment complex during her junior year. It still looks great!
We stopped by Soap Lake on our way home - here's our old house! It's smaller than I remember, but still has the same green venetian blinds that were about 100 years old when we lived there! LOL
The pictures are in reverse order, so think backwards as you view them...
Finally, we drove over Stevens Pass. Warren managed to capture the colors, which are just starting to turn. It was the long way home, but was very enjoyable.
All in all, we had a wonderful weekend with Britt, Mark, Laura, David and Mom Marianne - despite the saaaaaaad football score. GO COUGS!
