Now for the West Coast weekend!

We got home from Dover and had a relatively quick week. On Saturday, I (Devon) got re-certified in CPR/First Aid. I wandered home, stopping to shop on the way. Warren spent the day monitoring the Olympics. On Sunday, we met up with our pals, John & Diane for a great day of fun in Seattle.
We started at Pike Place Market and walked up to Le Pichet for lunch. The restaurant is tiny, but the French food is delicious!
That's where I devoured my beloved Raclette Savoyarde - Mmmmm!. I later found out that Raclette is a type of cheese that is melted to create this Alpine specialty. The little pickles are called cornichones. Mmmmmmm.
Then, we set sail on an Argosy cruise - what a beautiful day for it!

We climbed the hills to a tall tower - to go up to the observation deck, but the place was locked. We know that, because Warren and John tried all the doors! One must appreciate their optimism. Since that experience was not to be, we walked another block and toured the Seattle Library. It's quite spectacular!

By that time, we were hungry again, so went to Purple. Instead of ordering dinners, we each selected a different appetizer and cheese for a tasty smorgasbord. Each of us ordered a different flight of wine, which we shared around the table.
All in all, a most wonderful adventure with most wonderful friends!
