The Celebration Trip to Disneyland finally arrived! Our Anaheim condo was SO cute - '50's stylin' We loved it. Tim & Ari had a studio, which required Miss Scared-of-the-Murphy-Bed:It'll-Fold-Up-and-Trap-Me (Princess Arianna), to worry. But, she felt safe as long as she was with her Prince Charming (Tim E).
Tim was such a gentleman! He even rode the non-swinging Ferris Wheel with Aunt Susan. The rest of us swung to the heat in the Paradise Pier Ferris Wheel. Kudos to Aunt Susan who braved Splash Mountain and California Soarin'; Roberta, who rode California Screamin' 3 times (the last time with her eyes actually open!); and Arianna, who took a turn in the Teacups. The rest of us did it all anytime we could.
We readied ourselves for the Midway Madness games. I made a bet with everyone that caused me to ride in the front of the Splash Mountain ride on Sunday: lowest score...sigh. No one had told me about the "2-finger trick". Now I ask you - was that fair???? I got SOAKED...see the Wells' blog.
Actually, this is the wet result of the Rushin' River Ride, which was also a wet one! Thank goodness the weather was hot & dry!!
Siblings on a train. When was the last time they'd come to D'land together? About 40 years ago!!!
Dinner at the Celebration Ranch on Saturday. It was yummy delicious! The entertainment was highly amusing.
My favorite ride is Mr. Toad's Wild Ride! I hope it lasts forever!
No, the trees are NOT on fire. This was the fireworks show. We had great seats for Phantasmic, but had to move for the fireworks. Tim & Ari moved into Main Street to see them and got showered with Mickey confetti at the end.
The two love birds enjoyed gazing at one another at the airport on the way home. Between two birthdays and one anniversary (late) celebration, we have a lot to be thankful for. It was a wonderful trip and we hope to do more of them in the future!
