Mariners can be Wicked if Painted the correct color...

You go to an auction. The next day looks great. So what do you do? Bid for the Mariner's tickets, of course! We got the best seats I've ever sat in - ever! A man 4 rows in front of us may have broken his hand trying to catch the fly ball that came hurtling through space toward his unprotected palm. Ouch! It was very exciting to be behind the left side of home plate...well, let me be more specific...watching the monumental number of fly balls at that game was exciting. The game itself was, to be polite, a yawner.

Here was our great view:

Last Wednesday was my darling mama's birthday. I was supposed to meet Warren at Northgate park & ride, but after a long day of school retreat, I misjudged the distance and drove right past the mall. Didn't even see it! He called to ask where I was. I said "Exit 171". He said "You are way past me - I'm at 173." Hmmm. So, on I drove. Picked Mom up at SouthCenter and then attempted to retrace the route we ALWAYS take to downtown Seattle. Unfortunately, Warren ALWAYS drives and I NEVER pay attention. So, Mom & I got lost. Warren was our own little GPS man from the loud restaurant. We finally made it to the right location & went on with our pleasant evening. Warren & I took her to dinner and then to Wicked at The Paramount. So wonderful! She'd not seen it before.

Finally - our house is newly painted! We have gone from basic beige to...

Verdigris with almost the exact same trim color + a taupe accent.

It looks really nice. There are a couple of accents the painters are adding later today, but for all intents & purposes, it is done. We are looking for new garage lanterns to compliment the new house numbers we have. WB will get them up next week.

Warren is really enjoying his new job as middle school assistant principal. He seems to be quite energetic in the a.m. and quite exhausted in the p.m. I have been writing and rewriting our school schedule and it is changing as I write. Students show up next Tuesday, so it will get done. Our next adventure is a white water rafting trip in Yakima, so, we'll keep you posted!!!
