Loose Pages Read, Ate, and Talked About...

"Lo.vin.g Fran.k" by Nan.cy Hora.n.  I hosted my book club, Loose Pages, last night.  Silly me - instead of taking pix of our delicious dinner, you can see the end result.  We started with Savory Frank (get it?) slices served in mini-buns.  Then, to reflect the many locations in the book, I made Italian chicken, Spaetzle Parmesan, Green Beans Almondine, and the Swedish Tartas pictured above served with a side of either lingonberry or gooseberry jam.  (I love I.KEA.)  It was yummy!  We had a lively discussion.  None of us thought we could leave our children for a great love, but also realized that the options for women have changed drastically.
